Elizabeth (Lizzie) French did her undergraduate B.S. degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at Indiana Wesleyan University. After working on a CSA farm and as a manufacturing chemist, she pursued her Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University, researching how plant-microbe-environmental interactions influence plant health. She furthered her academic research with a postdoc in Entomology at Purdue, examining how plant-microbiome interactions affect plant defenses against insects. For the last three years, she has worked for Nutrien Ag Solutions in the Agronomy and Environmental Sciences group. She currently manages a team that develops soil biology tools to assist crop consultants in validating and recommending soil health practices and products. She enjoys hiking, reading, baking, and lives in Laramie, Wyoming her husband Alex, sons, Arthur and Thomas, and German Shepherd Buzz.
