Fertilizer is vital to food systems and food security around the world.
To feed a global population of 10 billion by 2050, fertilizer is playing a critical role in increasing food production and land use efficiency in agriculture in a sustainable way. While the fertilizer industry contributes to many of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, fertilizers directly impact the advancement of Goal 2, Zero Hunger: “End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture”.
